Why is the online protest portal disabled?

Submitting a protest using the Protest Online portal is only accessible between April when Notice of Appraised Value (NOAV) letters are sent out and the protest deadline filing date, May 15th.

On your property details page, you can download your value notice by clicking on the "Notice of Appraise Value" icon. All notices will have instructions on how you can file a timely protest and will include a paper protest form as well.

The deadline date specific to your property will be shown on the left side of the letter in bold.

Specific accounts may have online filing available. It will be indicated on your NOAV under SCHEDULED PROTEST FILING PROCEDURES. The NOAV notice will also have an online passcode highlighted in red.

Example:

For accounts without the online filing option, including notices sent after the initial first run at the beginning of April, the NOAV notice will indicate by mail or in person filling only.

Example

NOTE: Confidentiality accounts will not have the option to download the NOAV.

In order to certify values in July per Property Tax Code requirements, the protest deadline date cannot be extended.
