Exemption Status LookUp

Exemption Status LookUp

There are now two ways to look up the status of your exemptions.  Depending on if you are checking the status of a new application or an existing exemption on the property, you can follow the instructions below to check the status of the exemptions through the WCAD Property Search.  The processing time for exemptions is 6-8 weeks.

The status of a processing or processed exemption can be viewed online by going to www.wcad.org

      1.      Under ‘Property Search,’ type in the address or Quick Reference ID Number of the property.

2.     Click on the Owner Information that populates pertaining to the property you are searching.

3.      On the Details page, under ‘More Resources’ select ‘Exemption Status LookUp.’

4.        If the property has an application that was filed and it is processing, please see the example below:

5.      If an application has not been received or has already been processed, please see the example below:

If the Details page is showing the Exemption Status results above and you are outside of the 6-8 week exemption processing time, please following the instructions below to view any exemptions that have been applied to the property.

1.        On the Details page, under the ‘(Tax Year) Owner Information’ you will see all exemptions listed on the ‘Exemptions’ line.

If the exemption(s) is not listed and the timeframe is outside of the 6–8-week processing time, please contact the WCAD office to follow up.
