City of Hutto Exemption Changes

City of Hutto 

On May 6, 2021, as authorized by Section 11.13(f) of the Texas Tax Code, the City Council of the City of Hutto approved the following changes: 

  • Ordinance O-2021-020 reduces the exemption originally adopted by Ordinance  

O-2020-002 to $30,000 in 2021 and repeals the exemption beginning in 2022. 

 

  • Ordinance O-2021-021 reduces the exemption originally adopted by Ordinance 

O-2020-007 to $30,000 in 2021 and repeals the exemption beginning in 2022.  

 

If your property qualified for the 65 or Older or Disabled Person exemption in 2020 or earlier, your taxes for the City of Hutto will not be affected by this change, except in some extenuating circumstances.
