Duties and Responsibilities
- To establish appraisal office
- To appoint the Chief Appraiser and a Taxpayer Liaison Officer
- To select a Chairman and Secretary from among the Appraisal Review Board members
- To adopt the annual budget
- To contract for an annual audit and private appraisal service firms
- To designate a depository
- To appoint an Agricultural Advisory Board
- To ensure that the District follows policies and procedures and appropriate state laws and regulations
**The Board of Directors does NOT appraise property, hear protests, or make decisions affecting appraisal records**
